It's definitely seeming like the more simple the model, the better chance we have of IXO giving us a good value for the $. So far this and the Raiden are my
favorite IXOs. The Oscar still suffers from a lack of detail, particularly when it comes to panelling, and it has a poorer fit and finish than you get with Dragon, Corgi,
and even Matchbox. And it's got the same ol' flimsy gear the line is noted for. However, there aren't as many glaring errors and uglies as there were with the
P-38.
(The "meatballs" are slapped on over the camo paint, which you can still see through the red, which looks a bit wonky but could be accurate.) I still say these
models should cost $12 or so, but that said I do think this one is worth adding to your collection if you're into the WWII Pacific theater of combat.
                                                                                              Mildly recommended.
