Gaincorp is the only company I know that is making any 1:72 Russian jets, and they do an amazing job. This model is particularly good,
with a killer paint scheme and excellent overall detail, very similar to the 8012. The cockpit canopy can be removed, there are no pilot
figures, however. (You can put in the figures from Dragon's weapons sets -- see pics below.) I would love to see Witty do these, but
then again, I'd probably like this one less if they did. Gaincorp's a bit heavy on the paneling, and the paint on the small parts is a bit
sloppy -- the cannon is particularly poor.
Still, this bird looks good parked with my Dragon and Witty 1:72 jets, and I am glad to have it in my collection. I just can't get over the
unique, and wicked-looking, design of the Flankers -- they look like something out of Star Wars to me sometimes. Very cool!
