The phantom hinges for the access
doors to the gun bay are still there.
However, the gun recesses have been
improved slightly from the
Bar 262.
This is the first Me262 by CyberHobby and it is a step up from Dragon's Bar, which was the first 262 Dragon released. It has a better overall
fit/finish and the camo paint scheme looks more realistic than
Corgi's. This is also a limited production run, however Dragon/CH have not said how
big/small the run is. Previous CH models have had a production run of only 500, which would make this bird fairly collectible versus Corgi's
unlimited Legends release, in theory. I did have more difficulty attaching the gear in the "down" position -- the main gear required a great deal of
force to snap into place (see image, bottom right), making them equally hard to remove. And, the door for the nose gear would not stay attached in
the closed position without a bit of tack. Overall, however, I am much more pleased with this model versus the Bar.
Recommended.
