Century Wings is branching out folks! First the F-14, now an A-6, soon an A-7, and followed by an A-8. Whoop! It's about time we get these
birds, and the quality of the CW line makes 'em all worth the wait so far. This A-6 is a case in point: It's another home run. I don't know a ton
about the real deal so I will keep my comments to just how well done a model this is. It is very well made, with a decent metal content, good
fit/finish, clear decals (all pad-printed), and a nicely detailed cockpit interior even.
Furthermore, I really like the wash that's been applied to this scheme, making it look "dirty" and well used. The grey body paint is dark
enough that the black wash doesn't stand out too much: In my opinion, it is just right.
This is a limited edition release of just 1,000 models -- most CW runs are 2,000, so get one whilst you can. My only real gripes, and they
ain't all that "real", are that the canopy is tough to slide, and the gear's a bit finicky to get installed properly. Pilot figures and an in-flight
display stand are also included, but not shown.
NOTE: There are two pages of pics of this model, click link at bottom of page for more.
