Email The Ace!
Debuting in the mid-1990's, this line started my
obsession -- it was the first range of diecast aircraft I
ever saw in a store, and I gobbled 'em up. While the
line includes a wide range of aircraft, it is plagued by
rather poor quality assurance: one model will look
perfect, the next may look slapped together.
You get stickers for decals, and ugly seams and
gaps, not to mention scale issues, and visible glue is
a regular problem with the CDC-branded models.
The line was retired briefly after FM acquired The
Armour Collection a few years ago, but it is now
being resurrected. Though with prices encroaching
on 1:72 models of superior quality, I am no longer
collecting this series. I am curious if the quality has
improved -- so please do let me know if you have any
of the new FM 1:100 models and can compare them
to the CDC-branded 1:100s.
I do have several models which you can view by
