Dragon Models has been a huge hit in the armor vehicles market with its 1:72 range of models, which has focused mainly on WWII
German tanks -- as well as some modern U.S. Military vehicles. In January of 2006 the company jumped into the 1:35 market with a
German Tiger I, which coincidentally was also its first model in 1:72 (though a different livery). While it does not have the metal content
and rolling suspension of Minichamps' tanks in this scale, it does have an impressive level of detail and it is very nicely painted and
constructed. However, Dragon has elected not to include a display cover for this range of models -- you can buy these separately from
Dragon for $20. Bummer! Still, this is an excellent model that I can recommend pretty enthusiastically to armor collectors. It could also
prove to be valuable down the road, as Dragon's first 1:72 Tigers are very highly sought after these days. Time will tell!
